Outdoor Harderwijk's mountain bikes are well maintained, so you can ride without a care. Your playground is the second-largest nature area in the Netherlands: the Veluwe.
Before you set off, you'll get a thorough briefing. Already familiar with mountain biking? Then you'll be on your way in no time. And if you're not quite sure what all the buttons and levers on your handlebars do, we'll calmly explain it to you. That way you head off towards the Veluwe woods feeling confident.
During the briefing we take you through all the buttons on your handlebars, adjust the saddle height and show you how to get on and off easily.
You can choose from several routes, so there's always one that suits your group. The Harderwijk route is for the sporty types and is a bit more challenging than the Ermelo one.
The Ermelo route gives you a gentle introduction to mountain biking and finishes with a lovely flow and a small climb. That way you build up steam first before taking on the more challenging terrain of Harderwijk.
We had a great experience with Outdoor Harderwijk on our girls' weekend. There was a suitable mountain bike for everyone. You could hire a helmet too if you needed one. They gave us advice on two routes, one more challenging than the other. Read more

Did you know? After a hard ride on the MTB routes of Harderwijk or Ermelo, a BBQ goes down a treat. You can book your mountain bike hire and the Outdoor BBQ together in one go.
If you hire a mountain bike on a weekday, you have the extra option of the Trek practice loop. This loop is 2.5 kilometres long with lots of technical sections and takes about fifteen minutes. The route is on the Bouw & Infra Park, so it's only open during office hours.
If you have your own clip-in shoes for SPD pedals, choose this option when booking so we can fit the pedals for you. Please note: these are not SPD-SL pedals, which are mainly used on road bikes.
Top service! Great mountain bike for a good price. Forgot to ask for clip-in pedals when booking, but on the spot it was no problem at all to swap them. Then had a lovely ride in the beautiful surroundings, highly recommended!
